What is Life Coaching?

The International Coach Federation defines coaching as an  "Ongoing professional relationship between A client and coach that helps people produce fulfilling results in both their personal and professional lives. Clients report that they deepen their learning, improve their performance and enhance the quality of their lives."

Can Life Coaching Help me with my goals?

Life coaching is a form of action-oriented, forward-focused help for people who want to achieve their goals and better manage their lives. It creates the capacity for continuous self-improvement, personal development and accomplishing goals.

A successful coaching relationship enables and supports you to make the best use of your own knowledge, insight, vision, creativity, awareness, determination, external resources and innate ability to learn and develop. If you're ready for change Life Coaching is a great tool to help you reach your goals.

Is Life Coaching like therapy or consulting?

Like consulting coaching is outcome oriented, dealing with vision and actions. The major difference is that a coach does not provide expertise and solutions. A life coach operates from the belief that the client has all the resources they need, including the ability to discover and utilize those resources.

Like therapy coaching is client centered and individual. But while therapy goes in depth about various issues, usually dealing with the past, coaching is more action-oriented and focuses primarily on the present state and desired future outcome or result,

Are there any Professional Coaching Standards?

The International Coach Federation (ICF) is the leading organization that sets and monitors the international standards for professional coaching ethics, training and practices. As a member of the ICF and an iPEC Certified Coach Marcy commits to adhere to the ICF Standard of Ethical Conduct.
