Marcy's personal story Growing up with undiagnosed Bipolar disorder will inspire you to take action in your own life. As with many others she has dealt with overcoming relapses, lost relationships, endured family conflicts, had the multitude of medication side affects, experienced the abundance of stigma and has come to terms with her own acceptance of a challenging illness like bipolar.
By staying true to her values, trusting her instinct and following her goals Marcy successfully accomplished a 20+ year career in customer care, marketing and sales management. Choosing this path gave her many opportunities to associate with a variety of people throughout diversified industries in return paved the way to transition into mentoring and now a coaching profession. Marcy's commitment to give back all that she learned was the trigger that launched Make-Life-Rewarding an individualized coaching program specifically geared to help people in the bipolar community.
While working with her clients Marcy began to noticed a huge gap in communication between people who are diagnosed with Bipolar and the loved ones who care for them. To help eliminate this breakdown Marcy founded Bipolar-United Worldwide. The vision and purpose of this support system is simple, open the lines of communication between the two opposing views of bipolar in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Marcy has been a pioneer in bringing together an educational interactive teleconference support group consisting of a unique mixture of those diagnosed with bipolar and all the loving people who care for them. Her philosophy "when we communicate we educate" The fact is when knowledge is shared we empower a community to break down stigmas.
Training:
Marcy obtained her life coaching certification (CPC) from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. iPEC is among an elite group of institutions accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Marcy also trained at iPEC to become a Life & Leadership Potentials Practitioner. She is constantly continuing to further her education by staying an active member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI), Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), International Coach Federation New England (ICFNE), Coachville, iPEC Community of Coaches, the Icarus project and is listed as a SelfGrowth Expert. At the University of Massachusetts Marcy's core studies were in art and sociology.
